Alternate Learning Centre (ALC)

The ALC is our teaching and learning centre/school for our young persons in care who are not able to engage in educational programming in the provincial school system.  The ALC is staffed by two provincially licensed special education teachers, music coordinator and child and youth care workers. The program offers one-on-one teaching curriculum from the Newfoundland & Labrador English School, tutoring and group supports.  Our educators complete Individual Educational Review Assessments as well as Life Skills Assessments and goal planning for young person in the care of Key Assets. The ALC also offers a music therapy program (Youth on Track), art program, dance program and gaming program.
