Anne Wareham

Anne completed her clinical psychology training at the University of Cambridge, UK, (Masters in Psychopathology, 1992) and the British Psychological Society (Diploma in Clinical Psychology, 1994).  She received additional training in Gestalt psychotherapy (Gestalt Awareness Training Experience, one year) and clinical hypnosis (University College London, UK, one year). Since returning to Newfoundland, she has received additional training in Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dynamic Emotion Focused Therapy Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Person Brain Model (Trainer).  Over the past 25 years, Anne has held staff positions within Eastern Health in Janeway Psychiatry, Janeway Family Centre and Children’s Development and Rehabilitation. She is currently the Clinical Lead for the Janeway Lifestyle Program. Anne taught at Memorial University and has published a children’s book on body diversity (Percy Pinhorn) that is being used in the NL school curriculum.

Anne takes a strength-based, trauma-informed and client-centered approach in therapy.  She strives to work collaboratively with clients to help them identify and work towards their goals.  She works with children, youth and adults on various mental health issues, including stress management, anxiety, body image and parenting.
