Judy Shortall

Judy is a registered Clinical Social Worker with over 32 years’ experience. She graduated from Memorial University in 1987 with a Bachelor degree in Social Work and in 1993 from the University of Toronto with a Master degree in Social Work.  Judy has worked in the area of child, adolescent and adult mental health for the past 25 years.

Judy’s practice is trauma informed, strength based and family centered. Therapeutic approaches employed are based on assessment of the individual, couple or family in the context of their environment and may include cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused therapy, trauma therapy, play therapy, relational therapy, and narrative therapy. Judy’s clinical practice and interventions are rooted in systems theory, developmental theory, neuro relational theory and trauma theory.

Judy works with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples in the areas of mental health, trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment, adjustment, relationships, development, grief, separation and divorce and parenting concerns.
