Karen Clarke’s, M.S.W., R.S.W., CTPC., underlying methodology is the attachment theory and is further informed by trauma and neuro relational theories. Specific to the assessment, Karen and the client establish treatment goals and a strengths focus is taken, nurturing each client’s capacity and resilience. Karen has been in private practise since 2004 and is skilled in many approaches. She has found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with mindfulness and relaxation techniques to be successful for anxiety and Emotionally Focused Therapy particularly effective in couple therapy. Other approaches she uses are Crisis Intervention and Solution Focused, Narrative and Play Therapies.
