Paulette Kane-Abbott

Paulette Kane-Abbott, MA., CCPA., RSW – Paulette assumes the role of Director of Family-Based Care & Clinical Services following 5 years of service with Key Assets as the Manager of Family- Based Care for Metro St. John’s. She comes with more than 20 years of experience working with and serving children, families and individuals in the realm of child welfare, community mental health, hospital and long term care settings, and as a spiritual care practitioner. Prior to joining Key Assets in 2016, she was a child protection supervisor with the Children’s Aid Society of Waterloo, Ontario. She is a registered social worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador Community of Social Workers and member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, with a Bachelor of Social Work from Memorial University, and Masters in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Paulette has long held special interest, training and clinical experience in the areas of community outreach, grief, trauma, and end of life work. In addition to Key Assets, Paulette is a Chaplain who provides pastoral & spiritual care to patients and staff at the Waterford Hospital and within the community.
