Human Resources Coordinator – Permanent Full Time Position

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator is an integral part of the Human Resources Team. In collaboration with the Manager, the Coordinator will execute full circle recruitment and onboarding and ensure that Human Resources practices are equitable inclusive and embrace diversity. In collaboration with Senior Leadership and the Human Resources Manager, the Coordinator will implement recruitment strategies and ensure that employment practices attract and retain a workforce align with the strategic goals of the Key Assets Canada Companies.

Some of the core tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Lead employee and supervisory recruitment and screening, including advertising job openings, sorting, and reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews.
• Complete onboarding processes with new employees, including the preparation of employment agreements.
• Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable employment and licensing requirements within each jurisdiction.
• Completes monthly statistics and reports for each province.
• Assist in updating of the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual.
• In collaboration with the HR Manager and Provincial Directors, support the process around progressive discipline, lay offs and terminations.
• Keeps up to date on Human Resources legislative changes within each jurisdiction and support Provincial Directors in ensuring compliance and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Co-ordinates and ensures completion of Exit Interviews.
• Build and maintain meaningful working relationships with employees.
• Coach and mentor, the Human Resources Associate and Assistant to engender a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and excellence.

Education & Experience:
To be successful in this role, the candidate is required to have:
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Business with a focus/concentration in Human Resources Management.
• Minimum of 3 years related work experience in a Human Resources capacity.
• Sound knowledge of various employment laws and practices in Key Assets Canada jurisdictions.
• Experience in the administration of benefits and other Human Resources programs.
• A Human Resources Designation would be considered an asset.

Additional Requirements:
• Clear Certificate of Conduct
• Valid Driver’s License

Key Assets Canada offers:
• Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience ($62,000 to $77,263)
• Group Health Benefits enrollment (medical, dental, vision etc.) and competitive RRSP contribution matching up to 5% of employee contribution.
• Annual leave entitlement of 20 days per year (4 weeks)
• Sick leave entitlement of 7 days per year.
