Property Maintenance Worker

Permanent Full Time Position

The Property Maintenance Worker will ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of all Key Assets NL contracted and owned properties including office and residential programs.

  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of all residential homes and commercial buildings in the St. John’s Metro area
  • Respond in a timely manner to urgent requests for house repairs as required
  • Assist with operation and coordination of the warehouse, including receipt and distribution of inventory
  • Specific duties can vary from day to day and include drywall installation, painting, flooring repair and maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general building repair
  • Keep written records of work undertaken in each property as well as work estimates and invoices for services
  • Contribute towards the growth and development of the business by implementing key areas identified in the business plan agreed through supervision
  • Work in collaboration with contractors available to provide a range of maintenance services to Key Assets programs as needed
  • Communicate with a wide range of audiences, including foster carers and children and youth, always delivering excellent customer service

Requirements:

  • Clear Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check from RNC/RCMP
  • Child Protection Clearance Check granting clearance
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Drivers Abstract
  • Valid Proof of Canadian Residency
  • Access to a personal vehicle
  • Ability to provide proof of COVID Vaccinations (two doses)

 Key Assets Newfoundland and Labrador offers:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience ($52,120 – $64,951)
  • Group Health Benefits enrollment (medical, dental, etc.) and competitive RRSP contribution matching up to 5% of employee contribution
  • Annual leave entitlement of 20 days per year (4 weeks)
  • Sick leave entitlement of 7 days per year
