We are a growing company seeking a talented Quality Assurance & Practice Analyst to join our team. The position is located St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, with occasional travel to Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Quality Assurance & Practice Analyst
Full-Time Permanent Position

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources for Key Assets Canada, the Quality Assurance & Practice Analyst takes the lead responsibility for quality assuring operational services, including policies and procedures, risk management and supports new service development. They are responsible for:

· Producing, developing, implementing, and reviewing policy statements, performance standards, procedures and practice guidance that underpin the work of Key Assets, in line with relevant law, regulations, and best practice guidelines, while working in partnership with the provincial leads to achieve this goal.

· Ensuring that service provision is compliant with all relevant regulatory processes through timely research, advice and the processes of internal audit and inspection.

· Providing advice and guidance on quality assurance and service improvement matters to provincial leads, managers, and staff in relation to service delivery (e.g., social work practice, data-security, external inspection, service specification and evaluation) as directed by the Director of Human Resources and/or the Chief Executive Officer.

· Designing and leading program evaluations including report writing and synthesis of research evidence to inform program development.

· Undertaking specific project work as may be directed by the Director of Human Resources and/or Chief Executive Officer.

· Providing support to service areas in program design, including the development and monitoring of logic models, and reporting of outcomes.

· Assisting with, and where directed, overseeing the preparation of submissions to relevant government/regulatory bodies and others such as departmental service commissioners e.g., pre-inspection returns, action plans, performance statistics/ service audit returns.

· Monitoring any presenting issues related to operations and reporting such to the provincial leads for the respective province.

· Monitoring critical incidents and safeguarding matters, including conclusions and outcomes and reporting them to the provincial leads for the respective province.

· Engaging with Key Assets staff nationally in the development and use of databases as may be determined to record service activity and outcomes, including analysis of such information captured.

· Working with provincial leads to provide knowledge management and evaluation of the quality and compliance outputs in line with Key Assets Canada policies and procedures, regulatory compliance and best practice.

· Working with the provincial leads to improve quality where gaps have been highlighted.

· In partnership with Key Assets leadership, producing and delivering training, policy implementation and evaluation tools in the form of briefings and presentations for relevant staff, carers and other stakeholders.

· Liaising with external bodies relevant to the work of Key Assets Canada as directed by the Director of Human Resources and/or the Chief Executive Office.

· Contributing to the wider remit of Key Assets Quality Assurance and Service Improvement through attendance at QA & SI meetings, Risk Committees (in addition to participation with staff-group meetings) and attending Key Assets management meetings as requested by leadership and collaborating on mutual projects as required.

To be successful in this position, candidates will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • A Masters Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Business or other related field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in quality assurance.
  • Must have ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.

· Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.

· Clear Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.

· Child Protection Clearance Check granting clearance.

· Valid Driver’s License.

· Clear Driver’s Abstract.

· Proof of citizenship.
