Samantha Freake

Along with her time spent in undergraduate and graduate studies from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Samantha has additionally completed specialized trainings. Some of those include Incident Command, Emergency Disaster Services, Collaborative Child Abuse Investigative Training, and crisis and suicide intervention.
Samantha has a passion for serving the needs of children, youth, and families. She not only wants to see them do well but thrive. Samantha cares deeply for individuals and families residing across the province, including both urban and rural/remote settings. She believes everyone deserves equal and equitable access to services, no matter their social and/or geographical location. Furthermore, Samantha is also devoted to working towards filling the gaps in women’s health services. As part of her work in this area, Samantha serves on an educational committee for a non-profit health advocacy organization in the city. Samantha additionally serves on the MSW committee at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
When Samantha is not working or completing volunteer work, she spends her spare time sitting by the water, reading, and spending time with friends and family

Mary-Beth Fallon

Mary-Beth has spent over a decade managing programs and several years in senior and directorial positions on the west coast as well as the metro region of the province. She elected to concentrate her professional social work practice on working with individuals with complex mental illness, trauma, concurrent addictions, and their families. Her practice is strongly influenced by Psychosocial Development and System Theories and utilizes a Trauma Informed Lens to guide her work. Mary-Beth has added specialized training in several areas including Trauma, Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention, and is currently an ASIST Trainer. She also has completed specialized Suicide Intervention training for working with Children and Youth.
Mary-Beth has a passion for working with families to create a supportive space for healing. In her current role as manager of Family-Based Care, Mary-Beth works collaboratively with the Family-Based Care team to provide support for the carers, their families, and the children and youth matched in their homes. She is continually motivated by an acute enthusiasm for supporting long-term sustainable placement options.
