Kristen Hynes, M.S.W., R.S.W., is a social worker with over 10 years’ experience. She completed both a BSW and MSW at Memorial University. Kristen’s work has been primarily with children, youth and families who are involved with child welfare. In her parenting capacity assessments, Kristen works under the guidance of the Steinhauer model which uses a number of different assessment domains, and gathers information from a comprehensive historical review, detailed chronology, interviews, observations and collaterals.
Areas of Specialization: Kristen’s main role with Key Solutions is completing parenting capacity assessments. Kristen also offers ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), training on trauma and attachment, and is trained to conduct Attachment Style Interview Assessments for prospective foster carers, as well as PRIDE assessments.
